We hereby cordially invite you to join our board team on this year’s sponsorship trip to Lithuania from September 5-8, 2019. Take the opportunity to get to know our Children’s Village children and our young people from the PATRIA program. Join the PATRIA Youth Camp and be part of a special community. The encounters in Lithuania are always very enriching for both sides – German guests as well as our Lithuanian protégés – and familiar connections usually develop. And the country of Lithuania with its many lakes and the beautiful cities of Vilnius and Kaunas, both of which we will visit, is really worth a trip.
The program is planned as follows (subject to change):
Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019: Arrival until noon, individual flight to Vilnius. City tour and dinner in Vilnius. Overnight stay in Vilnius.
Thursday, 5.9.2016: Open evening for PATRIA fellows who cannot attend the PATRIA camp in Rumsiskes at the pizzeria “Stop&Go” in Kaunas, overnight stay in Kaunas.
Friday, Sept. 6, 2019: around 11:00 drive to Rumsiskes Open Air Museum near Kaunas. Start of the camp with the PATRIA youth. Overnight stay in Kaunas or in the “Girkalnio namas” in the museum area.
Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019: Second day of the PATRIA Youth Camp with various workshops, activities and shared meals. Overnight stay in Kaunas.
Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019: Drive to Marijampole Children’s Village, barbecue, return to Vilnius, return flight.
We would be happy if some sponsors and supporters of our Lithuania project would join us again. Please book your own flights and rental cars. Otmar and Ingrid Debald will be happy to advise you and take care of hotel bookings and travel arrangements in Lithuania.
